Its Not Easy To Be a King
i mentioned in the previous post that i orded 2 books from seoulselection, an online bookstore based in korea. this week i've recieved my books! pretty effecient huh! actually i dont mind waiting for a few more weeks if i can save on the shipping cost. instead of sending by air, it would be much cheaper to come by ship!!!

anyway this two books i've bought are
1. choson (i prefer the world choson instead of joseon) royal court culture
2. virtuous woman (i'm only looking into 'the true history' of Queen Inhyon)

i took a slight peep at the first book. pretty interesting. do you know why the capital of korea is called 'seoul'? probably due to their pursue of a unique korean culture, the name 'hanseong(汉城)' was changed in to 'seoul', a word which cannot be written in chinese, derived from 'sorabol', the name that silla dynasty was know for.

i began with the first chapter talking about the live of a choson king! poor fellows! they begin their day at 4am everyday, a ghostly hour where most of us are still away in our dreams!!!

now i shall talk abit about my work. i am quiting in march since the doctor has found someone to replace me (very efficient) and will be working as relief teacher. although its not a good deal as i experience a 30% fall in actual salary, it spared me from choosing btw retaining my current job or trying out a new one.

this morning, there are a lot of old people in the clinic and someone shitted on the floor of the toilet. omg that's the most gross thing ever. i was utterly disgusted and i immediately inform the doctor about it. she suggest that i try to flush it off. how can i handle it?! i was super reluctant. but when i went to take a second look, apparently someone has tried to clear it for me. ah thanks god! i curse the culprit. you can be forgiven if you dont know how to shit but please clear up your mess. ah how gross!
